Sweet Buttermilk Corn Bread

Hello Friends,

Here is the recipe for the Sweet Buttermilk Corn Bread. I know everyone has their own! so I just combine the recipe that few of my friends shared with me and created my own. You can change it too and satisfy your fancy. Enjoy!

Sweet Buttermilk Corn Bread
1 cup yellow corn meal
1 cup all-purpose flower
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1 cup buttermilk
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Grease well a 9-inch square pan.
Combine all of the dry ingredients in a small mixing bowl.  Beat the eggs thoroughly then add honey, buttermilk, vanilla, and butter. Combine with dry ingredients stir with a fork until just blended then add butter.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
Make 16 small square. Serve with butter, jelly, or maple syrup.

Love,
Evelyn
